SKINCARE BREAKDOWN

I get asked a lot what do I do for my skincare regime.

(As you can see this is Moi//Makeup: Moi//Photography: Shinobi Photography)

To be quite honest, I really do not do much. I hate to admit that I can be quite lazy at times and tend to skip out on some steps just so I can get done with it ^_^ . When I do take the time to really get down and dirty these are my steps:
(This is Moi//Makeup: Moi//Photography: Shinobi Photography)

Before I relax for the day I remove all my makeup:
  • I mix cetaphil, water, and baking powder together. You can remember I wrote about it here . This acts as a exfoliate and a makeup remover. Mind you, I tend to add the baking soda to my mixtures every other week in order to not dry out my skin.
  • I use a baby wipe as a face towel  (It is more hygienic for me). I wet the baby wipe with water and use it as a face scrub to help scrub off dead skin and remove my makeup
  • I use a new wet wipe and wet with water to wash off my face and neck.
  • Then moisturize my face and my neck with my facial cream. Can find post here.
  • Eye cream: I lightly dap my favourite eye cream around & under my eyes
  • Eyelashes: Yes people eyelashes. Your eyelashes need love to. I rub petroleum jelly (also known as Vaseline) between my fingers and rub from the roots to the ends. I also use this step for my eye brows especially if your brows were just done. It helps soothe my brows.
  • Lips: I use Chap ice medicated balm on my lips (you are able to use any lip balm). This step helps prevent crapped lips and keeps it luscious until the next day.
**Note: Every 2-3 weeks or when I have time, I do an avocado facial mask. This step will be added after I wash my face with a wet wipe and before I add my moisturiser.

As you can see there is not much that I do. Of course you must never, never forget the ultimate skincare item which  is to drink plenty of water. This critical step helps to keep your skin very hydrated and allows to keep your skin youthful a lot younger. What are your skincare processes? I would love to know.
