If you are in the kind of weather I am in that
means you are also feeling the heat. With the heat coming our way, my
face is feeling the change in seasons. Which means, ladies and
gentlemen, that heavy coverage must be put to habitation.
As a makeup
artist, believe me when I say I have tried some tinted moisturisers. You
are also able to find some in my personal makeup kit but I find that
they are either too dark or too light for someone of my skin tone. This
has led to me having to find other avenues to compensate for this misfortune.
Here are a few tricks I have perfected in creating my own tinted moisturizer:
- First, I get my fixing palette
- I put a quart size of my favourite moisturiser (which is my Embryolisse 24 hour cream) ----you can put more than quart size if you really want to make sure to get that full coverage but not the feeling of full coverage
- I add my favourite powder, which is my ben nye powder in sienna and sprinkle the amount I need on top of the moisturiser
- Then I add my primer (I use Revlon Beyond Natural smoothing primer which is silicone based)- if you are allergic to silicone make sure to use a primer that does not consist of silicone. The next best alternative is using a moisturiser primer like MUFE HD PRIMER. If you are using a moisturiser primer than forgo the 2nd step
- If you have combination skin like I do, you are able to add your anti-skin with in the mixture or you are also able to leave out this step
- Then mix all ingredients together
- I use my favourite powder brush which is my sigma kabuki flat top F80, can find post here. Apply the mixture on your face like you are applying foundation and volia your own homemade tinted moisturiser .
- For extra security, you are able to apply your powder on your T-zone.
