As we grow older so does our smile.
Of course there
are ways to combat the aging of our smiles. Why should our smiles tell
or intense our age?! Sorry people but I do plan on staying young looking
at best as I can. LOL.
There are many factors that contributes to aging our smiles: what we eat, what we drink, and the lip colours we use.
Our
smiles are the first things people actually notice about us. What we
drink greatly deters how others view our smiles. I am quite sure some of
us enjoy the occasional grape juice, diet coke, dr.pepper, or pepsi but
using a straw will help to eliminate the problem of stains these drinks
will create.
What we eat also determines the aging power of our smiles.
Eating a lot of acidic contents eats away the enamel which makes it
easier for our smiles to suffer but drinking a lot of water will help
reduce the after effects. I am happy to say research shows eating
apples, celery, pears, cucumbers, and carrots (which are high in water
content) helps in creating the necessary saliva to help combat the
staining of our teeth. It also helps in keeping the mouth clean. I will
definitely be stocking up.
Other
ways to help bring about the beauty of our smiles would be to get our
teeth whitened. Of course not many people have the funds to go through
the procedure. Alternatives are to use At Home teeth whiteners like
Crest White Whitestrips and whitening toothpaste that contain bleaching
effects . My secret, I use baking soda mixed w/ my tooth paste to help
whiten my teeth and keep it white. As a model I can not afford to not smile in my photographs.
I will not be a makeup artist if I do not mention the effects makeup also plays in the enhancement of your smile. Using the right shade of lipstick does wonders in enhancing your smile. I love wearing red lipstick that has an undertone of orange. I notice it brightens my smile and makes my teeth look whiter.
