Every other time I will be dedicating this series in highlighting prominent ethnic models whom helped pave the way for other ethnic models in the fashion industry.
Though the fashion industry is still bias in the use of “ethnic” models in campaigns and the runways, I will state that without the help of these models the fashion industry will never have seen the beauty of diversity. I will start with giving back to Noemie Lenoir.
Noemie Lenoir is a African European model and actress (Malagasian and French descent). She became known as Karl Lagerfeld’s muse and she has been sought after by well known photographers like Mario Testino (who she continues to work with). She has worked with campaigns in the likes of Cover Girl, Gap, Next, and well known English chain Marks and Spencer. We are also able to view her acting appearances in “Rush Hour III”. Beauty is the eye of the beholder. Noemie Lenoir exemplifies that beauty.
